Experiential Sandplay Workshop: Let Your Hands Be Your Guide!

by Helen Brammer-Savlov

In Jungian Sandplay, images are formed in a tray partly filled with wet or dry sand. Miniatures may be used and the resulting sand scenes allow psychic contents to find embodied form. The Sandplay process invites guidance from the Self during a protected descent into the preverbal level of the psyche. Participant will explore the process of building sand pictures through their own direct expereince. A series of different exercises will assist the group to make a safe exploration of the individual images, memories and feeling that can arise by letting the deep non-verbal wisdom contained in the hands take over the lead from the talking head. All materials will be provided by Helen, including individual sand trays and selections of miniatures.

Location: C. G. Jung Foundation, Studio, Arts and Letters Club, 14 Elm St., Toronto, Toronto
