What Happens in a Session?

A session lasts typically for 50 minutes in which we sit face-to-face and it usually takes place once a week. You are encouraged to speak of whatever is important and of concern to you.

Telephone or skype sessions are also available for people who live at a distance.

In my consulting room there are art materials for drawing, painting & clay modelling. Sometimes such artwork comes from dream images. Sometimes an experience may be too remote or traumatic to put into words, but working with colours and shapes can be a way to bring the thoughts, feelings and memories into consciousness through the creative imagination.

Outside the therapeutic hour, I encourage journal writing and remembering and recording your dreams.

My approach combines “Classical” Jungian and “Archetypal” traditions.

Introductory Books to read which follow these traditions are:

“Man and his Symbols” C.G. Jung (Aldus Books Ltd., London, 1964)

“Care of the Soul” Thomas Moore (Piatkus Publishers Ltd., London, 1992)
